With paper prototyping and Wizard of Oz user testing, we learned and took into consideration user preferences for different types of information. For instance, a calendar format was preferred over a timeline for scheduling. Participants also mentioned that filtering events before viewing the calendar made it easier to search for events they wanted.
After finalizing the wireframe, we made a high fidelity prototype of the app. The result is an app with multiple calendars for the user's viewing. Calendar functions include being able to export event scheduling to other applications.
For further feedback and testing, we made an interactive prototype and conducted eyetracking tests with users. The test was able to check the usability and effectiveness of the design choices we made, particularly with icons and colors. The interactive prototype was also sent out through UserTesting, allowing people who didn't know about the app to test it out and answer our questions for feedback.
